Abstract

Well logging is utilized to fast, accurately and effectively evaluate the sensitivity of reservoir rocks. Based on the analyses of reservoir sensitivity and tits influencing factors, some data, such as the rock matrixes, shale content, clay minerals and reservoir properties, which are closely related to reservoir rocks, are extracted from the logging data sets. The relevancy of these extracted data to reservoir sensitivity was studied. Using mathematics statistics method, the reservoir sensitivity was evaluated on the basis of the logging data analyses and flow experiment on reservoir sensitivity. A model was established for reservoir sensitivity and logging data interpretation, and the reservoir sensitivity can be predicted using logging data. The analyses of the field data showed that the evaluation using the new model gave the same results as did the flow experiments.
