This empirical study takes the listed companies in Hunan as examples and reveals some logical relationship between manager's individual character and company's performance. Through analyzing the genesis of the relationship, a model for selecting and using managers is put forward. This model is based on scientific mechanism and could be applied to establish and improve the modern institutions of state-controlling companies.
