Abstract

The main purpose for shafting alignment calculation is to verify the design condition of propelling shafting,as guidance to shafting installation and inspection.On the basis of what have mentioned above,Controllable pitch propeller system,hull deflection,bearing stiffness,oil film stiffness,hydrodynamic force factor of propeller and gear force of gear box etc.are to be taken into consideration in this article to meet the requirements of modern and large vessel' shaft alignment.
