Habermas' Thought of the Occurrence of Public Sphere

Habermas explains the occurrence of bourgeois public sphere respectively from the angles of history and philosophysociology. From the perspective of history, Habermas argues that public sphere began with GreekRoman public sphere, which has undergone changes from the representative public sphere, in Europe during the Midde Ages to the bourgeois public sphere. From the perspedive of philosophysociology, Habermas reveals the psychological foundation of the public sphere' s private subjectivity: the bourgeois family' s psychological experience of humanity.
