Abstract

The thermal stability of organic electrolyte solution itself, and the thermal stability of the reactions between electrode and organic electrolyte solution were all reviewed. It's believed that, the effects of reactions between positive electrods and organic electrolytes on security of Li-ion battery are one of the important elements. The methods to improve the thermal stability of organic electrolyte solutions were also reviewed from the below: (1) reducing the decomposition of LiPF6, (2) applying nonflammable or flamma-bility-retarded solvent as cosolvents or additives.
