Analysis of Shinto and the Japanese Militarism

Shinto is an exclusive religion of Japan. Shinto took a long time to become a national religion.Since modern times,Shinto has been the tool for the Japanese militarists to control ideology of the populace and it is the ideological foundation in Japan and the spirit motive for the expansion of Japanese military forces outside Japan.Recently,there seems to be a renewal of the Japanese militarism.Shinto is again the ideological foundation of the Japanese right wingers attempts to reverse the historical truth and thus interferes with Japanese people's understanding of the true picture of the war.
