Abstract

Developing new city is an efficient way for steering the rational enlargement of the outer space of central city. Suitable planning on traffic facility between centra l city and new city is an important factor for new city in lowering the pressure of population and employment in central city.By taking Nanqiao new city as an example in the paper,preliminary study was conducted on which traffic strategy would be taken and which traffic modes would be adopted during constructing stage of new city undergoing rapid development.
