Abstract
Based on the newly-published data and world-wide information on plant tissue culture.this article firstly presents a broad review of the history and development of tissue culture technology in horticulture, then evaluates the characteristics and advantages of plant tissue and its application in horticultural production,and finally,points out the development trend and prospects of plant tissue culture in horticulture.
