YAN Fu and Confucianism

YAN Fu was called first one that introduced the western-learning by LIANG Qichao and his Confucian thought is often neglected because of his excellent western-learning. The Confucianism had much influences on YAN Fu's thought and there were not detachment or attachment in the gradual progress of his thought. Yanfu never denied or affirmed the traditional culture wholly seen from his concrete Confucian views. YAN Fu dealt with the relation between the Chinese culture and the western culture in many ways, and he had his own characteristics.
