Abstract
Objective To explore the methodes of surgical treatment of retinal detachment due to macular hole in high myopia.Methods 172 eyes of 169 high myopic patients with retinal detachment due to macular hole under went vitrectomy combined with photocoagulation and the tamping of 12%C3F8.Strict prone position was conducted at least 2 weeks postoperatively.Results Macular hole closed and retina reattached in 172 eyes.Visual acuity was increased in 172 eyes.Conclusions Vitrectomy combined with photocoagulation and tamping of 12%CF8 is a safe and effective method in treating retinal detachment due to macular hole in high myopia.
