Abstract
New activation process with cobalt in electroless nickel plating on the cenosphere surface was proposed.[Co(NH3)6]2+ were adsorbed on the cenosphere surface when the cenospheres were put into the [Co-(NH3)6]2+ solution.[Co(NH3)6]2+ were deoxidized into Co as active basic materials which spread on the cenosphere surface by the H2PO2-in the coating solution. The analysis by the SEM,EDS and XRD show that an even, smooth, integrated, amorphous Ni-P alloy layer is coated on the cenosphere surface. The mechanism of the activation was analyzed and researched.
