Abstract
The design process of metro train traction system is discussed.Conventional metro train is supplied by DC750V or DC1500V and adopts three-phase asynchronous traction motor.Different design options of these train's traction system main circuit are given.Especially it's focused on the design of high-voltage bus circuit and workshop power circuit.The key technical issues in design of traction inverters,traction motors,auxiliary power supply system are put forward,including the selection of IGBT,cooling method,control technology without speed sensor,standardized design,structure and capacity of auxiliary power supply system,and so on.
