Abstract

World health organization(WHO) and world bank preferred a comprehensive index Disability Adjusted Life Years(DALYs) in 1990——to evaluate burden of disease,with DALYs to evaluate the loss of healthy life years of all illness because of disability and premature.In this paper,the design route,main forte and disadvantage,the use of DALYs in mental disorders and related psychological and behavioral problems were reviewed.
