Abstract

Objective: To study the effects of insulin-like growth factor-Ⅱ on the development of two-cell mouse embryos in vitro. Methods: Mouse preimplantation embryos were cultured in the mKSOM media supplemented with IGF-Ⅱ at different concentrations. The numbers of blastocyst and hatched blastocyst, and the blastocyst′s cell numbers were counted.Results:(1) at the time point of 72h culture, the blastocyst rates of four treatments were significantly higher than that of the control.(2) at 96h point, supplementation of mKSOM media with IGF-Ⅱ at the concentration of 0.1,1,10ng/ml cause a significant differention in hatched blastocyst rates.(3) There was no significant differention among the blastocyst′ cell numbers of the five groups. Conclusion: The IGF-Ⅱ of 0.1,1,10ng/ml are the proper concentrations for improving the development of two-cell mouse embryos.
