Abstract
Objective To investigate the roles of CD4+ CD28-T subset and TNF-α in patients with cerebral infarction(CI).Methods The blood levels of CD4+ CD28-T cells and TNF-α in patients and normal controls were studied by immunophenotyping and flow cytometry analysis as well as by ELISA.Results The percentages of CD4+ CD28-T subset in blood(P0.01)and the serum levels of TNF-α(r=0.51,P0.05)in patients were significantly higher than in normal controls. There was a positive correlation between the percentages of CD4+ CD28-T subset and the serum levels of TNF-α(r=0.51,P0.05).Conclusion The levels of both CD4+ CD28-T cells and TNF-α were increased markedly and had a positive correlation in this study.Interaction between TNF-α and CD4+ CD28-T cells might play an important role in cerebral infarction.
