Abstract
Through measuring the vibration of U-tube heat exchangers in operation and analyzing the vibration of tube bundles, it can be judged the resonance of tube bundles which induced by gas streams and sound waves, is produced while gas flows through shell side and baffle plates. By adding longitudinal support plates between baffle plats, the vibration of heat exchanger can be effectively eliminated.
