Abstract

Learner autonomy has been a buzzword in foreign languag e teaching in the recent twenty years.This paper introduces the definitions of le arner autonomy,discusses the current situation of our college students in forei gn language learning and the factors restricting learner autonomy.This paper ha s also made a few tentative suggestions as to how to promote learner autonomy in foreign language teaching.
