To repair nasal septum perforation with auto temporal fascia and cribriform plate

Objective Observation to therapeutic effect of repairing nasal septum perforation with auto temporal fascia and cribriform plate.Methods 12 patients with nasal septum perforation were treated by two layers of temporal fascia and cribriform plate that was put into a mucosal sac which was formed along incision on skin and mucosa on nasal septum.Two pieces of adhesive tape were puton bothside of septum to prevent dislocation of septum mucosa and cribriform plate.Results 12 cases heal with phase 1 and no perforation comes back again after 8-24 months follow up.Septum mucosa is smooth.Conclusion medial size of nasal septum perforation repaired by auto temporal fascia and cribriform plate is a simple and effective operation.Material can be got easily,and survival rate is high.
