Analysis to the Occurrence of Semicarbazide in Shellfish

Semicarbazide is considered to be a characteristic metabolite of nitrofurazone and often used to estimate the abuse of nitrofurazone in animal product.Semicarbazide was frequently detected in shellfish,so it is essential to analyze the occurrence of semicarbazide in shellfish.This article introduced the possible source of semicarbazide,such as the natural occurrence in shellfish,semicarbazide rooted in azodicarbonamide and so on.Furthermore,the methods about how to reduce the risk of SEM contamination were introduced simply and some advice about production and detection of shellfish was proposed.
