Research on the Cultivated Land Protection during the Urbanization in Shanxi Province

The new century saw the rapid urbanization development in Shanxi province.The expansion of urban encroachment on cultivated land area is increasing continuously.So it is of practical significance to discuss how to coordinate the urbanization development and farmland protection.Based on the analysis of the urbanization development and cultivated land resourses,this paper makes clear the problems of the farmland protection in current process of urbanization in Shanxi Province,and accordingly,some countermesures are proposed to coordinate the urbanization development and farmland protection.
