Abstract
Several large scale strike-slip fault systems which are NE-trending are identified in Tazhong area by geostructural analysis, the main active time of the strike-slip fault systems was from the end of Caledonian to early Hercynian, the formation of the strike-slip fault derived from the collision on the south and north of the Tarim plate in the end of Caledonian, and it was also related to the NE-trending basement structure. The strike-slip fault systems control the reservoir re-formation,volcanic activity, trap formation and migration and accumulation of oil/gas.
