Abstract

The project of sluice, whose purpose is water supply,is located at the entrance of the Nanxi River beauty spot. The sluice is the second-class building. The design flood protection standard is 50 years and the check flood protection standard is 200 years. The sluice is comprised of the nearside bottomland free overflow section, the starboard scratch furrow water holding lockage chamber section and the adjust watergate and fish way in the right bank. The project of sluice is located on the tide boundary of the Nanxi River. The lower is the tidal reach and the upper is the mountainous reach. Moreover, there are extensive sands and forests on both sides of the Nanxi River. The river discharges almost all over the year, and the flow field is more complex. The rationality of the position of the sluice axes and the scale of the sluice will be proved by using the hydraulic model whose scale is 1∶100.The research results have provided a scientific basis for the construction of the project.
