Abstract

The UV / Fenton's reagent was used to treat anionic surfactant wastewater such as SDBS. The optimal operating conditions were determined as follows: initial p H = 3,c( Fe2 +) = 0. 033 mmol · L-1,c( H2O2) =0. 89 mol·L-1,and UV irradiation of 30 min at room temperature. Under these conditions, the removal rate of SDBS could reach 89. 01%. Furthermore, the degradation abilities of UV,Fenton's reagent and UV / Fenton's were compared, and the synergistic effect between UV light and Fenton's reagent was analyzed.
