Abstract

Eleven isozymes of Penaeus vannamei Boone during early ontogeny were analyzed using the technique of polyacrylamide gradient gel electrophoresis. The results showed that enzymes of digesting proteins, lipases and carbohydrates existed in Penaeus vannamei Boone during the early ontogeny. EST was the most complicated isozyme and might be coded by at least 6 loci. GDH was weak and no R-AMY and Q-AMY were expressed during the early ontogeny. At the stage of nauplius, ALP, GDH, AMY and EST isozymes were weak or not expressed. ACP, MDH, ME, ADH and AMY isozymes changed complicatedly since the third mysis stage. AAT and LAP isozymes were stable and simple and other isozymes became complicated with development.
