Abstract

The merits of IP version 6IPv6 are pointed out in this paper. The necessity of transference from IPv4 to IPv6 is discussed and techniques such as dual stack technique, address and network address translation technique and tunneling technique are also presented to upgrade from IPv4 to IPv6.
