Atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) is a robust method to realize living radical polymerization,and to prepare well-defined(co)polymers.The surface properties can be well controlled via surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization.This article reviews the progress of the synthesis of polymer brushes using surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization.
