Abstract

The clonal buds were obtained from shoot apexes and segments of Bougainvillea glabra in vitro by growth of the shoot apexes and axillary buds on MS basic medium supplemented with different concentration of 6BA,IAA,IBA and NAA.The clonal buds were subcultured on MS supplemented with 6BA 0.5 mg/L and NAA 0.05 mg/L,it proliferated with development of the shoot apexes and axillary buds rather than the cluster buds, and the proliferation coefficient is 2.73.The ratio of rooting is 80.5% when more than 3 cm height proliferated buds were cut and transferred onto 1/2 MS supplemented with IAA 1.0 mg/L,IBA 1.0 mg/L and NAA 0.2 mg/L,the ratio of survive is 97% when the little intact plants transplanted on the perlite seedbed.Callus were induced high frequently from the young leaf and shoot segment of clonal buds on MS supplemented with 6BA and NAA,2,4D,but no adventitious buds or embryoid differentiated from the callus on any medium used in testing.
