Abstract
Aim: To evaluate the specificity of three-color flow cytometry used in the immunophenotyping in adult patients with acute myeloid leukemia(AML). Methods: Immunophenotyping was performed by three-color flow cytometry using CD45/SSC gating. Results: In 156 patients with AML,the positively expressed antigens were mainly CD117( 90.4%),CD13(87.2%) ,CD33(71.8%),CD34(64.7%),and HLA-DR(60.9%). Lymphoid-associated antigens expressed in 34.0% of the AML patients, among which,CD7 expressed in 24.4% of the AML patients. Conclusion: Three-color flow cytometry is important during diagnosis, and judging the development and prognosis of AML.
