Analysis of monitoring Results of rural drinking water quality in Huaibei city from 2009 to 2011

Objective To know the status of rural drinking water quality in Huaibei city and provide a scientific basis for improving the drinking water quality.Methods Drinking water were sampled in rural area of Huaibei from 2009 to 2011,then detected and evaluated in accordance with the national standard.Results For 763 samples of drinking water,the qualified rate was 48.4%.The qualified rates of rural drinking water from centralized and decentralized water supply points were 53.0% and 20.4% respectively and there was a significant difference betwecn twb group(P0.01).The qualified rates of rural drinking water in wet season and dry season were 47.9% and 48.8% respectively.The unqualified item were fluoride,total hardness,opacity,visible objects,total coliform and sulfate.Conclusion Rural drinking water quality in Huaibei city is not fine.So the construction and the management of drinking water projects should be strengthened in the rural areas.
