Preliminary Study on Induction of Hairy Roots in Lonicera macranthoides

The effects of some factors on induction of hairy roots in Lonicera macranthoides was studied,including bacterial strains,densities of bacterial suspension, time of pre-culture and co-culture, and so on. The results showed that the induction frequency of hairy roots was highest and was up to 58%. when the OD600 of R1000 suspension was about 0. 6. and the explants were immersed in 40 dilution of it for 4 min. The explants from Lonicera macranthoides were pre-cultured for 5 days,were co-cultured with Agrobacterium rhizogenes for 3 days,and then sterilization cultured in media with 500 mg/L carbenicillin. and that was optimum method.
