On the Lack of Oral English Teaching and Improvement

As the common language of international exchange and cooperation,people are required for higher standard of English. Mean-while,college students' oral communication ability must also be sharpened correspondingly. In college English teaching,however,the training of oral English cannot satisfy the requirement for talents of society. To a considerable extent,many universities neglect the cultivation of college students' oral English ability,which result in the poor communicative ability of most students. This paper discusses the pre-sent situation and deficiency of oral English teaching in college and puts forward some feasible measures of cultivating students' communicative strategies and improve their speaking ability in college English teaching.
