Abstract

Objective To observe the effects of DBTD on pregnancy rat and fetuses' bone, weight, sexual ratio. Methods The female rats were classified into control group and DBTD exposed group randomly.Exposed dose were 2.5 mg/kg body weight,10 mg/kg body weight,20 mg/kg body weight. The control groups were treated with corn oil and the exposed groups were given DBTD by gastric tube feeding,6 d/week.At the end of 5th week, took out the female rat and roomed with normal male rat,1:1,and during the time stopped giving DBTD,when we find the pessary marked pregnancy 0 day,and went on giving DBTD,18 days later, sacrificed the pregnancy rats and examined the fetuses. Results In exposed groups,10 mg/kg body weight and 20 mg/kg body weight, the weight, living number of fetuses per litter and the sexual ratio(female:male) of fetuses decreased with the increasing of exposure dosage compared with control group(P0.05).The malformation of fetuses increased with the increasing of exposures dosage. Conclusion DBTD can affect the fetus' sex, weight, living number per litter. All of these suggested that DBTD had reproductive toxicities in female rats.
