Taking network as main means, modern distance education appeared the new charecteristic in targetsand education method. Distance education, an significant part of modern higher education, gives great impact more andmore. Moral education is an important and standing key subject in modern distance education. This paper expounds thecharateristics of modern distance education from the political, systematic, open and practical aspects.
