Abstract

Objective To study the influence of the dietary fat’s contents, fatty acid compositions and exogenous cholate on feces pH and the contents of feces cholic acid.Method Mice were randomly divided into 6 groups:Basic control (BC),Rapeseed oil (RO),Lard group (LG),cholate control group (CC),rapeseed oil plus cholate (RC) and lard plus cholate (LC).Feces pH value was examined every two weeks, feces cholic acid was detected every four weeks. Results The feces pH in LG was significantly higher than that in BC and RO (P0.05),there was no significant difference between BC and RO.No significant difference was found in feces cholic acid among BC,RO and LG.With the addition of cholate in feed, the cholic acid in feces increased significantly, the feces pH reduced significantly (P0.05),compared with the no cholate groups respectively. Feces pH of LC was significantly higher than that in RC and CC, feces pH in RC was significantly lower than that in CC (P 0.05).Compared with the no cholate groups, no significantly difference existed among all the cholate groups. Conclusions Dietaryfat contents and fattyacid compositions don't influence the content of feces cholic acid. The lard can promote the feces pH.Exogenous cholate can significantly increase the content of cholic acid in feces and reduce feces pH value.Rapeseed oil can reduce the feces pH value under cholate feed.
