On Logical Empiricism's Program of the Unity of Science

On the ground of the practical needs of contemporary science and culture,logical empiricism made efforts to realize the unity of methods,languages,laws,social institutions and cultural practice in science.Although logical empiricism's program of the unity of science failed to accomplish its promised tasks for its own theoretical limitations and historical conditions,it has made contributions to the communication and dialogue between science and humanities as well as the contemporary development of natural science and human science.Logical empiricism exerts profound influence upon the unity science movement at the present time and leaves the significant intellectual legacy to the new co-operation and integration of science and humanities.
