Analysis of Relationship between Different Types of Tobacco Planting Soil and Tobacco Leaf Yield,Quality in Malong County

Abstract

[Objective] The relationship between the different types of tobacco planting soil in Malong County and tobacco leaf yield,quality was analyzed.[Method] 357 soil samples were collected in eight villages and towns,Malong County,Qujing City,Yunnan Province.In addition,grading and leaf sampling method were used to collect the corresponding soil sample.A set of tobacco leaf samples was collected and the soil and tobacco leaf chemical composition was analyzed.[Result]In 30-90 d after transplanting,agronomic traits of tobacco plant in rice soil were better than those in red soil and purple soil.In comparison with purple soil and red soil,total nitrogen and nicotine content in tobacco leaves in rice soil were higher,and total sugar and reducing sugar content were low obviously.Based on the sugar/alkali and N/alkali ratio of flue-cured tobacco leaves,the quality of tobacco leaves in purple soil was closer to that of the high quality tobacco leaves.The order was purple soil red soil rice soil.In 3 types of soil,lutein,β-carotene,coffee tannin polyphenols in tobacco in purple soil were the highest,those in red soil were lower,and those in paddy soil were the lowest.The order of other carotenoids,flavonoids,rutin content of polyphenols was red soil purple soil rice soil,and the order of its smoking results was purple soil red soil rice soil.[Conclusion] In order to strive for high yield and good quality in flue-cured tobacco production,fertilization amount should be determined based on regional soil types.
