Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effects of reinforcing kidney compound on the mRNA expressions of myocardial α-myosin heavy chain(α-MHC) and β-myosin heavy chain(β-MHC) in rat with pressure overload so as to explore the mechanism of its reversing left ventricular hypertrophy. Methods: The male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group, model group, captopril group, reinforcing kidney compound high-dose group and reinforcing kidney compound low-dose group. After 4 weeks of modeling, the rats were given drug intervention for 4 weeks. The expressions of α-MHC and β-MHC in myocardial tissue were detected by RT-PCR.Results: The α-MHC mRNA expression of left ventricular myocardial tissue in model group was significantly lower than that in sham operation group(P0.05).The α-MHC mRNA expression of captopril group, reinforcing kidney compound high-dose group and low-dose group were significantly higher than that in model group(P0.05,P0.01).The β-MHC mRNA expression of left ventricular myocardial tissue in model group was increased than that in sham operation group(P0.05).The β-MHC mRNA expression of captopril group, reinforcing kidney compound high-dose group and low-dose group was lower than that in model group(P0.05).Conclusion: Reinforcing kidney compound can reverse the myocardial hypertrophy which was related to increasing the expression of α-MHC and decreasing the expression of β-MHC.
