Abstract
The interval uncertain factors would have some influences on dam monitoring model and monitoring indexes.A new deformation monitoring model suitable for the interval analysis is built herein by combining the conventional monitoring model with and the interval analysis method, and then the model is applied to the calculation made on the monitoring indexes of the interval deformation of dam.Furthermore, the method of the final determination of the dam deformation monitoring indexes is discussed as well with the consideration of the interval factors concerned. The analysis on the actual case shows that the model can objectively reflect the actual operation behaviour of the dam;from which the monitoring indexes obtained from the calculation concerned would conform to the actual situation more reasonably.
