A Review of Studies on Marx's Modern Thought by Chinese Philosophers

The issue of modernity is a difficult focus in the current literature.The author points out that Marx had established his own unique perspective of modern thought.Recent studies of Marx's modern thought by Chinese philosophers involve the following themes: 1,if Marx has formed modern thought and if so,what is the source of his modern thought;2,the dimensions and contents of Marx's modern thought;3,the historical development course of Marx's modern thought;and 4,relevance of Marx's modern thought to construction of Chinese modernity.The author maintains that extended and in-depth studies of Marx's modern thought is both the needs of Marxism studies,and the demand of constructing modernity in China today.
