Clinical significance of medical thoracoscopy in patients with 15 cases of undiagnosed pleural effusion

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of medical thoracoscopy in patients with undiagnosed pleural effusion.Methods Clinical data of medical thoracoscopy of 15 cases were analyzed.Results With pleural biopsy of medical thoracoscopy in these 15 patients,there were 7 cases of pleural light tumor,3 cases of pleural tuberculosis,4 cases of pleural chronic inflammation and 1 case had empyema.In 15 cases,positive rates of malignant tumor tuberculous pleuritis were 77.7% and 100%.Conclusion Medical thoracoscopy in patients with un diagnosed pleural effusion have clinical significance such as disease diagnosis,etiology diagnosis and well-defined staging of lung cancer.
