Abstract
To fulfill the need of high speed communication between the control station and upper IPC,communication interface of OMRON PLC's Ethernet module is studied in this paper. OMRON PLC's network construction and Socket communication service are presented firstly, and then follows Socket communication flow chart based on TCP / IP protocol. Taking CS1 W PLC as an example,it sets up an Ethernet module, and completes data communication by means of the designed communication protocol, using the upper computer as server and PLC as client and adopting Visual C + + 6. 0 in the compilation of communication software. The communication speed between OMRON PLC and IPC is quite high, and the communication software of reliable performance has found wide application in the industry.
