CT Differential Diagnosis Between Parotid Gland Lymphoma and Pleomorphic Adenoma

Objective To discuss the CT findings of parotid gland lymphoma and pleomorphic adenoma,and its diagnostic value.Methods CT and clinic data of 16 cases with parotid gland lymphoma(A group) and 23 cases with pleomorphic adenoma(B group) confirmed by pathology were analyzed retrospectively.Results A group of parotid gland lymphomas were mainly in men over the age of 50,mostly located in the inferior quadrant of parotid gland,borders were clear,uniformly hyperdensity or hypodensity with cystic necrosis,mostly forward and quickly quit enhancement performance;B group of pleomorphic adenomas were mainly in middle-aged,mostly located in the non-inferior quadrant of parotid gland,borders were clear,uniformly hyperdensity or hypodensity with cystic necrosis and calcification,slow progressive enhancement performance.There was significant difference between the two groups in the lesion site,the proportion of lobulated lesions,average value increased on enhanced scan,(P0.05);there was not significant difference between the two groups in lesion size and density(P0.05).Conclusion There are certain CT features of parotid gland lymphoma and pleomorphic adenoma,which are helpful to differential diagnosis.
