Abstract
[Objective] To understand the blood lead level and lead poisoning incidence of children in Meizhou aera, then further provide a basis for the prevention of lead poisoning.[Methods] ICP2MS was used to measure the blood lead level.2560 children aged 0-6 years with physical examination during January 2009-December 2009 in Meizhou were selected to test children blood lead level.[Results] The subject range of 2 560 cases of children blood lead ranged from 12.56 μg /L to 198.56 μg/L.The average of whole children blood lead was 66.58±24.31 μg/L.The male and female average blood lead was 71.23± 25.23 μg /L and 60.67±22.23 μg /L respectively. The children lead poisoning incidence was 15.63%,and the male and female lead poisoning incidence was 20.59% and 10%,respectively.The male blood lead levels and lead poisoning incidence were significantly higher than the female's.The blood lead levels and the lead poisoning rate increased with age(P﹤0.05).[Conclusion] The blood lead levels of children in this region was relatively lower than the national average. The trend of increasing incidence of lead poisoning required attention and effective measures should be taken to actively prevent children lead poisoning.
