A Most Important Problem in the Study of the Contemporary Chinese Culture

The revival of culture is a slogan of promoting the advanced socialist culture but not that of restoring ancient culture.The inevitable course of the racial diversity is the pluralism of cultures.Geographical condition is important to the national culture production and characteristics,but one culture cannot come down to the geographical condition only.In the construction of contemporary culture,historical materialism attaches great importance to the law of the development of culture.Chinese vibrant culture should not discard old traditional ideas,but to what extent should absorb and remould old traditions.In contemporary China,only historical materialism can seize all problems in the socialist culture development and point out the direction to build the socialism orientation of advanced culture.
