To Interpret Shakespeare's Tragedy from a Religious Perspective

Evil, originating from the free will of human, is of the basic causes of the charm of Shakespeare's tragedy. In his piece, Shakespeare, on the one hand, demonstrates the rational power of human; while on the other hand, reveals his limitation and tragic situation, which is highly consistent with Protestantism's understanding of man's nature. Thus, based on the analysis of his tragedy,the paper claims that Shakespeare inherits and develops the culture of Christianity .
