Abstract
The political culture in modern China exhabits in both traditional and modern aspects with the development of market economy. In this paper, the contents and functions of political culture, the basic qualities of modern political culture of China has been discussed. In addition, the significance of creating new political culture to the political development in modern China, and the practical measures of enhancing the construction of new political culture have been put forward.
