On the Protection Strategy of Folk Culture in Yunnan

Protection of folk culture in Yunnan means the protection of the long history of all the nationalities in Yunnan as well as the cultural basis and driving force for their survival,development and future.To protect the folk culture in Yunnan,work must be done in five aspects: establishing and perfecting the folk culture institutions and facilities;saving the folk culture,respecting the folk customs and supporting the composition of folk art;attaching importance to the protection and cultivation of folk culture artists;enriching and prospering the folk culture activities and promoting communications among folk cultures;adopting different protection methods including naming,legislation,dynamic development and static research and collection to protect the folk culture comprehensively from different perspectives.
