Abstract
Betaine aldehyde dehydrogenase gene(BADH) cDNA cloned from Triticum aestivum L.in the plasmid pBIH containing CMV 35S promoter and NPTII gene was transffered into tobacco(Nicotia-na tobaccum L.) by Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediate with 80% of average frequency of transformation.Transgenic plants were obtained showing BADH integration by both PCR and PCR-Southerh blot. There were great differences in BADH activity between transgenic plants after low temperature treatment, some transgenic plants had higer BADH activity of 4.8 nmol·mg-1 protein·min-1 but others had none.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
