Design and implementation of key performance indicator system:overall equipment effectiveness

Abstract

The classical definition of Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE) is introduced,the indicators system of equipment effectiveness is proposed based on OEE,which is used as a method for detecting and improving equipment effectiveness in production lines.The shortage of practical application in enterprise is analyzed.An OEE application frame based on manufacturing execution system is constructed.The main functions of OEE system are indicated in details.A practical application in tobacco industry of China is constructed to prove the validity of OEE system.
