Analysis of the Current Characteristic in HVDC Converter Station and the Selection of Current Measure Devices

Abstract

To select the appropriate current measurement devices for reflecting the variety of the current at different measuring points during stead state and fault conditions,we described the characteristis of the DC current in HVDC converter station,introduced the different types of current measurement devices installed in converter station,and obtained the technical capability and requirements for DC current measuring devices. The selection and application for the types of Zero flux current transformer and Optical-electronic current transformer are presented finally.
